Where did 2017 go?
We realise it’s been a while since we updated the blog section here at Psyphr. That’s not because it’s been quiet but the opposite in fact. 2107 was full on.
We spent the first half of the year pitching Psyphr to potential investors and incubators.
We were accepted on and completed Capital Enterprises Green Light Programme, which spread over three months was an introduction to pitching and idea presentation along with introductions to mentors and potential VC’s. This was helpful and we are grateful for the opportunities it presented.
At the same time Steve was working hard on our early proof of concepts and I was approaching potential partners and customers.
By August we were certain Psyphr is needed, data security is essential to us all and we have a solution. Everyone we spoke with agreed we are on the right track and took us seriously.
At around then we were introduced to Blue Sky Hosting Ltd, a veteran hosting company established for some seventeen years. Blue Sky has blue chip customers, ISO 9000 and (importantly) 270001 for cybersecurity and is part of the G Cloud which means registered into the UK Government purchasing apparatus.
We formed an alliance with Blue Sky as there are opportunities for Psyphr into their contacts and customer base and we can help Blue Sky build new services around secure cloud and business hosting. We are now based out of their offices in Westminster, a stones throw from the Houses of Parliament. Psyphr is now well placed right in the middle of the Westminster bubble.
Through to the end of the year we worked on this relationship and worked hard on our demo platform, technologies and MVP. We also hired a lead developer in the form of Mark Wilson.
We have also been building an advisory board of legal, banking, ethics and encryption expertise to ensure that we grow in 2018 in the right way with the help of some of the best, relevant and available minds.
Lastly, companies have been finding us. In December we signed an NDA with one of the biggest banking related technology services companies in the US. A Nasdaq listed company that found us as they regard Psyphr as ranking “very high on their disruption index” and “relevant to their service offering needs”
